We like sharing interesting articles and tidbits about the automotive lifestyle on Twitter and Facebook. If you don’t follow us on those networks, we wanted to give you a taste of what you’re missing. Here is a digest of our most popular links for the month of September:

Testing your car’s stereo
Your ears (and mouse-clicking fingers) perked up at this article from USA Today’s Drive On blog. An audio engineer who works for GM put together the perfect playlist for testing your car’s stereo system. Bass, treble, vocals and background sounds can all be fine-tuned by listening for these key points in each song. We compiled all the songs on playlist that you can listen to on the Web here.

Android apps for you car
Sometimes it seems like iPhone apps get all the attention. Lifehacker showed some love for Android with this post on the best Android apps to download for your car. Maps and navigation, voice control and parking apps were included in the list. Don’t worry iPhone users, you weren’t left out. Have you downloaded and used any of their suggestions? What are your must-have automotive smartphone applications?

A car-turned-toy box
We’re excited that we’ve recently featured guest posts on our blog from other drivers just like you to give their own personal insights. Joy Oglesby (@joyoglesby on Twitter), a mom who works at the Sun Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale, described her car’s transition from shiny and clean to cluttered with toys and crumbs. What’s the strangest toy you’ve ever pulled out from under your kid’s car seat?
